We would rather have one practice that read the licence carefully than five that signed it quickly.

§02How it works

Four steps, and you can stop at any of them.

  1. We send the licence first

    Before you commit anything, you get the full data licence in writing, plus our de-identification specification. Take it to your attorney. Most practices do, and we would think less of one that did not.

  2. You de-identify, or we supply the tool

    DICOM headers carry owner names, referring veterinarian, accession numbers and free-text comments. We provide an open, inspectable script that strips these on your hardware, before anything moves. You can read every line of it.

  3. Transfer on your terms

    Encrypted transfer, or a physical drive, or a hold-in-place arrangement where we never take custody at all and the model trains against your storage. Whichever your practice is comfortable with.

  4. You see results before anyone else

    Partner practices receive the model outputs on their own historical cases first, alongside the grading disagreements. That is the honest test of whether this is worth anything to you.

§03Reasonable objections

The questions we expect.

If yours is not here, ask it. We would rather answer a hard question early than lose a partner later.

  • Does this replace my reading?

    No, and it is not built to. It flags regions and returns a graded confidence. A licensed veterinarian interprets, decides and signs. Practices that read more films per hour make more, not less.

  • Who owns the images afterwards?

    You do. The licence grants a right to train on de-identified copies. It does not transfer ownership, and it does not permit resale of your images to anyone.

  • Could this be used against my clients?

    Not through us. The licence prohibits re-identification and prohibits us from using partner data to value a specific horse for a third party. We work on the seller's side of the transaction by design.

  • Is this a regulated device?

    Veterinary software of this kind is not subject to the premarket clearance that applies to human medical devices. That is a real difference and we do not hide behind it. We make no claim of clearance or approval by anyone.
